Adam and Jay

Jason Reso and Adam Copeland could not believe they finally had three week off together. They could now take the trip they had been planning for years. To go from one end of Canada to the other. As soon as they finished their match at Smackdown they could leave. They were in Seattle so they planned to drive to Vancouver and start their trip in the morning.

"Man I can't believe you guys are doing this." Andrew Martin said as he helped Adam pack up the car.

"I know but who knew we were going to get the chance to do this." Adam replied

"Well I guess this is goodbye then, since you are on right after us." Adam said

"Yeah, so have a good time and remember to keep in touch so I know you haven't got lost, or killed each other." Andrew said.

After the match was over Adam and Jay went and changed and then headed back out to the car.

"Fine in the morning I will go buy another box of sugarless Juicy Fruit and Dentyne Ice Cinnamon."

The boys drove to Vancouver and got a hotel room, and went to bed so that they could get up early and start their Adventure.

"Adam we are on vacation, we don't have nothing to be late for. Calm down."

"I mean you were boring and I didn't want to listen to you, besides Duran Duran was on the radio."

"Adam chill its vacation we have no schedule, we have all the places we want to go highlighted on the map, and we have three weeks to go across Canada. I mean if people can do it in five days I'm sure we can do it in twenty one days."

"No. We need to go get breakfast and then go shopping for the rest of our supplies. So go and get your shower."

When Jay finally finished his thirty-minute shower the boys went and had some breakfast and made a list for the store.

"Can we also get plain chips and bologna? They taste almost as good as the ham and Doritos."

"Yeah cause you've got such a good memory. Remind me who it was that lost the last stuff."

Adam drove over to the grocery store and they picked up all the stuff on their list.

So they left the store and loaded up their cooler with ice and pop on one side and the meat bread and cookies on the other. Then they jumped in to the car and started off again.

"Well I was counting the yellow lines on the highway, but that gave me a belly ache."

"We are to old to play any road games, but come on it will be fun. You go first."

"A my mane is Adam and my girlfriends name is AJ we come from Abbottsford and we sell apples"

"Good. B my name is Billy and my girlfriend's name is Babs we come from Brandon and we sell bananas.

"C my mane is Christian and my girlfriends name is Carrie we come from Chetwynd and we sell candy"

"D my name is David and my girlfriends name is Dolly we come from Dawson Creek and we sell dogs."

"Jay don't wine it was your idea to play. Now where was I…? E my name is Edge and my girlfriend's name is

"F my name is Freddy and my girlfriends name is Frala we come from Fredericton and we sell fish."

"Okay stop for a minute we are just going to pull in here to get some gas."

"J my name is Jason and my girl friends name is Jennifer we come from Jasper and we sell jugs."

The boys pulled into a gas station and Adam pumped the gas as Jay prepared lunch. After they ate they continued back on the road with Adam in the passenger seat quickly falling asleep and Jay driving and happily singing along to his CD.

"Okay so we go see the piggy bank and get something to eat. Will we stay here or drive a bit later?"

"Really. Purple punch buggy can't punch back." Adam said punching Jay's arm.

"Oh no heaven forbid you be dramatic and who was it when we had that argument last week about Grease 2 who flung their arms out in frustration and put their fists threw the wall?"

"Well you wouldn't listen to me. I had to make my point I mean of course its I am what I am and I'm over you."

"Oh yeah cause that makes so much sense. I'm over you so let's go make out. God Jay it is so obviously I am what I am and I'm all for you."

"What do you mean? We are not getting out and having our picture taking our picture by that bank."

As Jay started to walk back to the car he heard Adam start to cry or rather fake cry.

"God my poor little baby brother." Adam started whimpering as people gathered around him. "He has always

wanted to get his picture in front of this piggy bank ever since he was a little boy. But I had to be selfish and get my picture taken first and now we are out of film. Jay wait don't go away I'll find some more film. I promise I will get your picture taken."

"Excuse me." An older woman interrupted, "I have this Polaroid camera I can take your little brother's picture if you like."

"Oh would you. Thank you." Adam said wiping away his tears. "I'll go get him. Jay did you hear you can get your picture taken."

"Yeah yeah whatever, remember to smile big." Adam said as he started to laugh.

"I can't believe you did that." Jay said as Adam started driving again. Someone could have recognized us, and

please stop calling me your baby brother. First off we are not brothers and secondly I'm not a baby. And I am only a month younger then you."

"Oh Jay you should have seen your face. Oh ma'am thank you. I'll treasure it always. Man I almost lost it."

"I'm sorry Jay, but I told you I want pictures of us on this trip. And if you don't cooperate I will cause a scene

"Good. Now when we stop for supper in the next town do you want to stop for the night?"

"You are the one who told me that we had a lot of time. Besides that way we can go to Barkerville in the morning."

So the boys get their supper and head to the hotel to eat and watch TV. They quickly fall asleep.

Adam and Jay awoke Thursday morning to less drama then the morning before. They each got a shower, ate breakfast and headed out in the road.

"Look! There is the sign for Barkerville!" Jay cried pointing out the window.

"Only a town, do you know all the stuff we can do here. It's like stepping into the past; we can pan for gold. Which by the way we are so doing-we ca……."

"Jay calm down. I read the brochure too. I know we will have a good time. Although I can believe you are so excited to pan for gold." Adam said pulling into the parking lot.

"Hay Adam look we are just in time for a guided tour. Do you want to take that or just explore on our own?" Jay asked as they walked around town.

"Where to first? How about the Blacksmith over there what's it called Cameron and Ammes?

"No let's go look over there L.A. Blanks photographic gallery. Lets get our pictures done we can dress up in old clothes."

"But Adam we can dress up in old clothes. Come on." Jay exclaimed pulling Adam into the small building.

"Actually I had an idea." Jay interrupted. "I thought we could dress up as outlaws. Do you have anything like that."

"Sure!" Jo replied. "How about leather pants and a vest with a holster for one of you and jeans with a holster for the other."

"Oh! You guys don't need shirts. I think the picture will look better without them."

"Ok! Sounds good! I'll take the jeans. Let's go change." Jay cried excitedly.

"Jay!" Adam called walking into the change room. "We are not getting our pictures taken with out shirts."

"Adam." Jay said pulling off clothes. "You spend almost everyday without a shirt. If anyone needs to worry it's me, except for the sunshine boy picture you can hardly find me shirtless, besides who but us will see these."

"Okay." Adam agreed shrugging out of his clothes and pulling on very tight leather pants.

"Ohhh you guys look good. Umm Jay you should take your hair down like Adam's."

"Okay" Jay said as he took his hair down and looping the goody clip around his ring finger.

"That's looks much better." Jo said fluffing Jay's hair around his shoulders. "Ok. Do you want a picture each or just one."

"Ok! You guys can go change and come back in an hour for your pictures."

"Sounds great! See you in a little while." The boys change and continue to explore.

"Hello and welcome to McMahon's Confectionery." A woman said from behind a counter. "What can I help you guys with today?"

"Oh Adam." Jay called interrupting. "Look they sell homemade fudge. Let's get some.

"Ok Jay." Adam said then turned to the sales lady and asked. "Could we get dome of this please."

"Sorry about him." Adam said pulling Jay from he counter. "He loves anything sweet, we will take a half pound please."

They walked, rather Adam walked and Jay raced to Eldorado Gold Panning and Souvenirs. Adam read the sign and said. "Success guaranteed." "Hmmm Jay you do realize that this is fixed and everyone get a little bit of flaked gold."

"Jay we are not doing this again. We have already spent two hours here. Let's go and pick up our pictures. She told us an hour, and probably thinks we skipped town."

"Okay!" Jay sighed dramatically following Adam back to the photography studio.

"Yeah we went to a few different shops and panned for gold." Adam answered.

"Thanks." Adam said as he paid for the pictures then opening the envelope. "Jay look hey turned out awesome."

"They did." Jay said still pouting as he looked at the picture noting Adam's arm draped across his shoulder, then adding, "They really did."

"Well, you didn't even really want to pan for gold and then you had to go and be really good at it."

"No Jay, I know you are upset but it is your turn to drive, besides I'm going to look and see if there is anything fun to do in Prince George."

"Fine Jay. We'll find a mall and you can drown your sorrows in shopping."

The boys continued the drive to Prince George finally arriving. Adam drove into the parking lot of the Pine Centre Mall. Where they went inside and Jay bought some clothes, CD's and books.

"Jay! Come on let's go and get something to eat. I'm starving." Adam whined.

"Just one more store, look aren't those frames awesome. Our Barkerville pictures would look really good in them."

"Okay." Jay said as he watched Adam walk in to the store. He thought about checking out another store but then thought better of it.

"Good lets go, oh man look its raining. I tell you what you wait here with the packages and I'll go get the car. Wait here." Adam said running to get the car. "Jay we have a problem." Adam said coming back to Jay.

"Yes we do. You have to stop treating me like a pet Adam, stop telling me to stay where you put me."

"Real smart Adam, I knew this would come in handy." Jay said as he took a black ribbon chain from around his neck and showed Adam the car key hanging there.

"A friend told me, about how she used to always have to wear one because her sister used to have a thing for locking her keys in the car. Kind of like you hey Adam?"

"That is true at least, well come on lets get in the car and go get something to eat. Are we staying here tonight or continuing to drive?"

"I think we will stay here. The next part of the road I think it's called the Pine Pass, I heard we should drive it in daylight."

"Okay, I'll go start packing the car." Adam said as he picked up some bags and left the room.

After having breakfast they continued their trip with Adam driving and Jay sleeping for the first hour and a half.

"Yeah right I was just imagining it." Jay said as he closed his eyes again. "There it is again."

"Whatever." Jay said as he pretended to close his eyes, then turned his head so he could squint at Adam. "I saw that Adam."

"And you couldn't just have called my name or just patted me on the arm. No you had to frighten me."

"Man and you make fun of me for listening to Duran Duran? They are way worse."

"They are not, besides its not like I'm listening to the Backstreet Boys or anything."

"Well we'll need to stop for gas there. And we should probably give Drew a call."

"Hey Adam there is a 7-Eleven, lets stop there." Jay said as they arrived in Chetwynd.

"Okay Drew I'll get right back to you." Adam said hanging up the phone.

"What's wrong Adam?" "Remember those papers Vince had us sign before we left?"

"Well the temp that Vince had hired lost them, so we have to find somewhere to get a fax sent to us."

"Hi." Jay said back smiling as the clerk did a quick double take, then he turned to Adam and said. "Looks like he recognizes us."

"Hi." Adam said handing the clerk the money for the gas. "Could you tell us somewhere where we could get a fax sent to us?"

"Sorry I actually just moved here, but hold on and I'll ask my coworker." He said as he pressed a button.

"It rings a bell in different parts of the store and lets whoever we work with know we need them."

"Sure. What can I help you guys with?" AJ asked. "Oh my god." She continued when they turned around.

No problem." Jay said. "We were wondering if there was any place where we could get a fax sent."

"Sure. My sister Frala manages a stationery/print shop here in town. You can get one sent there." AJ told them.

"Yup. Here I'll write it down for you." She said as she jotted the number down, then handed the paper to Adam.

"Thanks." Adam said then turning to Jay continued, "I'll go call Drew."

So Jay got directions to the store and Adam called Drew and then they were on their way to the stationery store.

"She told Lucas that she was going to ask her boss if she could have the video tape for when we were in there."

"Yeah I did." Jay said then gave Adam the directions on how to get to Community Printers.

"Do you remember the sisters name?" Jay asked as they go tout of the car.

"Yes." She answered then glancing up said. "How do you guys know my name?"

"Actually your sister sent us over here, she said we could get a fax sent here." Adam said.

"No problem, feel free to look around while you wait." Frala told them.

"Yeah we make them here so every year I make one to advertise." Frala said.

"We can't. You have to go through Edmonton to get there and we are going down through Calgary." Adam said.

"Actually, you could go from Calgary up to Edmonton then to Vegerville if you have the time." Frala said.

"Yup. We finally get to go this, we've been planning it for so long." Jay said.

"Wow. Well its a really good trip, we used to go across almost every summer when we were growing up, and then AJ and I got to go from Newfoundland to here a few years ago by ourselves. It was really fun."

"Why did you guys go back and forth every summer?" Adam asked. "If you don't mind me asking?"

"No not at all. We were born in Newfoundland, but moved to BC when we were really young and we used to go back to visit family. Oh there goes the fax machine its probably what you guys are waiting for." Frala said as she walked over to the machine. "Yup here we are addressed to Adam and Jay."

"Oh actually we just have to sign these and then we have to send them back." Jay said.

"Thank you." Adam said as he and Jay signed their papers and then handed them back to Frala.

"Have a safe trip." Frala called as she watched them head to the door. Just before they left the store they heard Frala say into the phone. "Jesus AJ you could have called and warned me that they were coming over here. I almost dropped dead when they walked in here and called me by name."

"So do we have to go any where else?" Adam asked laughing. "I don't think so." Jay answered.

"No I think one shock is enough for her today, besides we can just go back the way we came in here."

So they found their way back out to the highway and continued on their way still singing along with Bon Jovi.

"Jay there is the sign to turn the clocks ahead one hour, here will you do mine." Adam said as he handed Jay his watch.

"We should be able to make it to Grande Cache with the gas we have so lets just grab something to eat and continue on the way."

"I know we have only seen three other cars and there is no sign of civilization anywhere."

"You have to pick someone and find your way to Kevin bacon in six steps or less right?"

"Christina Ricci was in Opposite of Sex with Lisa Kudrow who was in Analyze this with Robert DeNiro who was in Sleepers with Kevin Bacon."

"Good good, but I beat you. Christina Ricci was in Now and Then with Demi Moore who was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon."

"He was in School Ties with Chris O'Donnell who was in Mad Love with Drew Barrymore who was in Boys on the Side with Billy Wirth who was in the Lost Boys with Keifer Sutherland who was in Flatliners with Kevin Bacon."

"I have you beat Jay. Ben was in Mallrats with Shannon Doherty who was in Girls Just Want to have fun with Sarah Jessica Parker who was in Footloose with Kevin Bacon."

"Okay that's one each next how about Alicia Silverstone?" "Easy she was in Excess Baggage with Christopher Walken who was in True Romance with Christian Slater who was in Murder in the First with Kevin Bacon."

"Okay I have Alicia was in Clueless with Paul Rudd who was in The Object of My Affection with Jennifer Anniston who was in Picture Perfect with Kevin Bacon."

"Okay how about for a tie breaker we do any wrestler who was in a movie."

"Good I'm going to use Mark. He was in Suburban Commando with Christopher Lloyd who was in Camp Nowhere with Jonathon Jackson who was in Deep End of the Ocean with Michele Pfeiffer who was in Wolf or The Witches of Eastwick with Jack Nicholson who was in A Few Good Men with Kevin Bacon."

"I will use the Big Show he was in The Waterboy with Fairuza Balk who was in the Craft with Neve Campbell who was in Wild Things with Kevin Bacon.

Jay shot Adam a quick look then swallowed the lump in his throat and said, "I know. Umm Adam how much farther is it to Grande Cache, the gas tank is getting pretty close to empty."

"Yes we will, just calm down here I'll put in the soundtrack for Rent and we will listen to that."

So Adam put in the CD and they listened until they finally reached Grande Cache where they Fueled up and decided to get a hotel room, and continue on in the morning.
